Prior to starting Thompson Entertainment Law, Kari worked as a Senior Vice President at Entertainment One and lead its unscripted business and legal affairs team. During her time at eOne, Kari worked on a wide variety of unscripted and documentary shows for networks, streamers and FAST channels. Kari also worked on projects developed around established Hasbro (Play-Doh, Lincoln Logs) and Wizards of the Coast (Dungeons & Dragons) brands. 

Before eOne, Kari worked in house at Tinopolis (Magical Elves/A. Smith & Co.), Kew Media and United Artists Media Group. Kari was also a senior associate at Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP. 

Kari received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Central Florida and her juris doctor from William Mitchell College of Law. 

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Andy, three children (Tucker, Finn & Kenzie), and two cats (Milly & Peter). They like to spend their weekends visiting the bookstore and eating ice cream.
